Staffing challenge

A new state study found the challenge of meeting Massachusetts’ proposed mandated staffing levels for registered nurses would affect hospitals unevenly.
Here’s the estimated average percent staffing increase by hospital type, assuming either an average 10% statewide increase or 20% statewide increase is needed to comply with the mandate.
