Hospital systems with the highest average commercial prices relative to Medicare

Among 70 hospital systems analyzed by RAND Health, these systems had the highest average prices paid by private employer-sponsored health plans from 2015 to 2017 relative to the price Medicare paid for the same services.

Prices are calculated based on allowed amounts, including amounts paid by the health plan and the patient. Relative prices represent the allowed amount paid by the private plan as a percentage of what Medicare would have paid to the same hospital for the same services.
