Special purpose acquisition corporation IPOs soar in 2020

The number of SPAC IPOs so far in 2020 increased more than 200% vs. the total for all of 2019, per an RSM analysis of Bloomberg data. Deal values skyrocketed too, with a total of more than $54 billion versus $13.3 billion in 2019.
